Sanctuary Tattoo & Piercing in beautiful Portland, Oregon is always looking for occasional guest piercers to cover shifts. We offer competitive hourly pay plus commission.

A little about us: 

Our shop was founded by experienced artists and friends and is co-owned by a queer woman. We opened this shop because we wanted to create a welcoming and lovely space for our diverse community, the kind of place where people feel happy and relaxed when they visit. Our team really enjoys working together and we place a high value on compassion, integrity and a sense of humor. Silly puns and dad jokes are a regular occurrence! 

We’ve been open a little over a year and have had a fantastic response from the community and have a slew of amazing clients. Our piercing business is mid-volume and we take both appointments and walk-ins.

We all believe in work/life balance and encourage staff to use their vacation time and unplug on the weekends!

We have a wonderful counter person/jewelry specialist on staff as well, along with an owner/manager who helps with FOH and makes everything run smoothly behind the scenes.

Our owner/manager is also an APP member and our shop follows APP guidelines and is 100% disposable. We only carry top-quality jewelry and have accounts with People’s Jewelry, Neometal, Buddha Jewelry Organics, LeRoi Fine Jewelry, Anatometal, Mushroom Body Jewelry and more.  

Who we’re looking for: 

Someone who loves what they do and enjoys working with a diverse array of clients. You will be a solo piercer for a bit, so we need someone with a few years experience (3+) who can self-manage and stay on task with not only piercing appointments but also organizing and ordering things. We’re looking for someone who is both reliable and a good communicator. You don’t have to be an APP member yet but you need to already be familiar with their guidelines.
